Former writers and editors discussed the compilation of the commemorative book People of House No. 4 at a gathering hosted by Military Literature Magazine on October 20 in Hanoi.

Colonel Phung Van Khai, Editor-in-Chief of Military Literature Magazine speaks at the event.

The publication marks the 70th anniversary of the magazine’s debut (1957-2027).

Colonel Phung Van Khai, the magazine’s Editor-in-Chief, presided over the meeting alongside Deputy Editor-in-Chief Doan Van Mat.

The event brought together distinguished veterans, including former Editor-in-Chief Nguyen Tri Huan, poet Vuong Trong, and critic Le Thanh Nghi.

Discussions focused on finalizing selection criteria, expanding the draft list of 69 authors across three generations, and incorporating silent contributors - such as administrative staff, translators, and illustrators like Doan Trung and Mai Van Hien.

Senior writers emphasized retrieving scarce archival documents, preserving oral histories, and honoring all who built No. 4 Ly Nam De.

Concluding the session, Colonel Phung Van Khai affirmed that the editorial board will refine selection criteria, gather witness testimonies, and complete the manuscript ahead of the January 2027 anniversary, honoring seven decades of writing dedicated to Uncle Ho’s Soldiers.
