The event was co-held by the Management Board of the Hanoi Book Street and the Thai Ha Books Joint Stock Company (Thai Ha Books).
It was part of activities to celebrate the first anniversary of the implementation of the project on promoting reading habit.
According to the organizing panel, under the project which was launched a year ago, 100 community bookcases were built at schools, in agencies and community organizations. Many book ATMs opened from the North to the South, providing books for readers in remote areas.
At the event, Thai Ha Books presented 1,000 books to 1,000 readers.
