A photo exhibition on world cultural and natural heritage sites in Vietnam opened on Phu Quoc island district, Kien Giang province on December 4.

Hosted by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibition under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MoCST), the event introduces visitors to 160 photos on 24 heritages in Vietnam which have won UNESCO recognition from 1993 to 2019.
The heritages include the Complex of Hue Monuments, Hoi An ancient town, My Son sanctuary, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Ho Dynasty Citadel, Ha Long Bay, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Trang An Complex, and Hue royal court music, among others.
The photos vividly capture the beauty, value and vitality of the heritages, which are a valuable reference point of Vietnamese people’s culture, customs, religion, and ideology.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, MoCST Deputy Minister Ta Quang Dong stressed that cultural and natural heritage sites have been preserved by many generations of Vietnamese people.
The exhibition is being held to raise the public’s awareness of our heritage and its value while contributing to advertising Vietnam’s tourism potential, he said.
The event will run until December 10 at the Centre for culture, sports and radio in Duong Dong town, Phu Quoc district.
