A wide range of artistic programs will be held across Vietnam to mark the 79th anniversary of Wounded Soldiers and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947–2026), honoring fallen heroes, wounded and sick veterans, and people who rendered meritorious service to the revolution.
The Vietnam Circus Federation will present a special production from July 24–26 in Hanoi, featuring more than 60 performers from the circus federation, the national traditional theatre and the border guard force. The performance tells the story of Vietnamese soldiers in wartime and peacetime. Gifts will also be presented to veterans, families of martyrs and Agent Orange victims.
On July 26, the Vietnam Contemporary Arts Theater will stage a commemorative concert in Hanoi, featuring well-known artists and revolutionary songs that pay tribute to generations who sacrificed for the nation's independence while inspiring patriotism and national pride.
Local authorities are also organizing tribute performances. Hanoi will host six artistic programs across the city, while the northern province of Quang Ninh will hold a special event on July 24 in Ha Long, highlighting the Government's campaign to search for, recover and identify the remains of fallen soldiers.
Through music, theatre and cultural performances, these events reaffirm Vietnam's enduring tradition of gratitude and remembrance for those who sacrificed for the nation.
