At the closing ceremony, colonel, writer Nguyen Binh Phuong - Editor in Chief of the Military Literature Magazine commented: Overcoming the initial worries about the effectiveness of the camp, despite the fact that it is impossible to write impatiently, I was happy to see everybody again in such a beautiful place, especially with large numbers of works completed at the camp. The first impression that these works brought me was: An Giang has really inspired the artists. Clearly there has been the harmony, sympathy between the host and the guest and they revealed to each other the historical layers as well as the meaningful present life. It was possible to see that many writers, poets, through their works, has captured some of the souls of the land and people of An Giang, partly calling out precious traditional values as well as the deeper parts lying in every person, every historical event on the land of the Seven Mountains. And certainly the discovery, the strong impression, the rich emotions did not stop in the works completed at the camp, it would also pursue each member joining the camp, whether they will return to Ha Giang , the northernmost part, Ca Mau, the southernmost part or any other part of the country.

Besides life-penetrating activities, such as the visits to Vinh Te canal, Tuc Dup Hill - the revolutionary relic, the memorial to victims of Polpot murder at Ba Truc in 1978; the exchange with officers and soldiers of the 330th Infantry Division and the 20 Infantry Regiment, etc. the An Giang writing camp also co-operated with the Young Writers Committee to hold a talk on "the Young Literature in the Mekong Delta, Identity and Creativity" to facilitate young writers in the Mekong Delta to express their thoughts and writing ideas. At the end of the writing camp, the An Giang Provincial Party Committee presented individuals and groups with outstanding achievements in the process of writing at the camp.

Though the duration of the camp was not long, the land characterized by rivers and water, the crossroad of many religions, and the personality of An Giang people had left strong impressions on the campers. The writers who came from all over the country could not hide their feelings when they joined the camp on the southwestern border.

Writer Vu Thanh Lich, who participated the camp organized by the magazine for the first time confided: "The moments we have got in the past days in An Giang will follow us throughout our life. The people and the land featuring the Mekong Delta have given us the deep memories so that when returning we will have works worthy of this land.

Poet Truong Nam Chi also shared his feelings when he joined the camp: "I feel proud whenever I join the camp organized by the magazine. An Giang is a land of many tragic events in history, but also a place of natural beauty, people here are nice and warm. The sites such as Tuc Dup Hill, Ba Truc tomb, and the meeting with the witnessers living in the war defending the motherland are precious resources for my writing. These were the emotions that only came from the participation into the writing camp organized by the magazine.

Young poet Phan Duy, an camper from Can Tho, felt his own feelings during the camp. He expected the emotional interest in An Giang would be the material to his new works, promising of quality and quantity. An Giang has many things to explore, the author also expects of opportunities to come back to get more inspiration for his creation.
