Due to the complicated developments of COVID-19, an online book fair was held for the first time in Vietnam on April 19 to celebrate the seventh Vietnam Book Day, which is April 21 every year.

With the theme "Reading books, raising public awareness, and overcoming difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic", the month-long fair opened for readers via the e-commerce trading floor at Book365.vn. It features about 10,000 book titles from 24 publishing houses and 25 distribution companies nationwide.

Participants in the event can place orders for newly published books and have a chance to join online exchanges and talks with authors and speakers.
To attract readers, the book fair will launch a promotion program that offers a 25% discount on books and free shipping for 20,000 orders.
The fair will also donate 3% of the proceeds to the COVID-19 prevention fund.
