Ten Outstanding Young Faces and 80 Promising Young Faces of the Vietnam People’s Army were honored at a ceremony held on April 2 at the headquarters of the Ministry of National Defense of Vietnam, jointly organized by the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense.

The annual awards recognize young officers and soldiers who have demonstrated remarkable achievements in training, combat readiness, scientific research, and participation in United Nations peacekeeping missions. Several of this year’s honorees have also received recognition at the national level, reflecting the growing capabilities and contributions of military youth in the new era.

In recognition of their performance and dedication, the Ministry approved a number of preferential policies for the award recipients, including officer appointments, early promotions, salary increases, and certificates of merit.
Addressing the ceremony, General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, praised the honorees as exemplary role models who help inspire determination, creativity, and responsibility among young servicemen and women across the armed forces.

He called on military youth to continue promoting revolutionary ideals, actively implement the spirit of the 14th National Party Congress, and take the lead in innovation, scientific research, and digital transformation.
He also urged Party committees and commanders at all levels to create favorable conditions and entrust young personnel with important responsibilities, enabling them to contribute further to building a revolutionary, regular, elite, and modern Vietnam People’s Army capable of firmly safeguarding the Fatherland.
