Many writers and poets have joined creative camps and field trips to border areas and islands, living alongside soldiers to capture authentic stories of military life.
As the magazine approaches its 70th anniversary, its long journey alongside the Vietnamese soldier was repeatedly recalled.

Over decades marked by war and sacrifice, literature published in the Military Literature Magazine has helped shape the enduring image of “Uncle Ho’s soldiers” as a symbol of courage, humanity, and quiet heroism.
Veteran poet Huu Thinh described the magazine’s headquarters on Ly Nam De Street as a spiritual home for generations of writers, while Vietnam Writers’ Association Chairman Nguyen Quang Thieu shared that his own literary path began with his first publication in the magazine.

A highlight of the gathering was the presentation of awards to seven outstanding authors of 2025, honoring years of dedicated and often solitary creative labor.
The event concluded with the launch of a new writing contest on “Today’s Soldier,” seen as a meaningful bridge between tradition and the future, leading toward the magazine’s 70th anniversary in 2027.
