Through the contest, it is expected that a collection of photos providing a multi-faceted view and broadening the understanding of Buddhism and its value to the Vietnamese life will be acquired.
Buddhism is present in many aspects of life in Vietnam, such as spiritual belief, philosophy, culture and history.
The contest will open until September 20 for photos taken in Vietnam about Buddhist architecture, ritual activities and the Truc Lam Zen School.
All Vietnamese citizens and foreigners residing in Vietnam are eligible to take part in the contest and may submit up to ten photos on the official website at www.thianhphatgiao2020.com.
Authors of the winning photos will receive cash prizes of up to VND20 million and have their works, along with other excellent photos, displayed in an exhibition scheduled for October 15 at the Temple of Literature in Hanoi.
The exhibition will later move to the historical site of Yen Tu in Quang Ninh Province.
