The Department of Fundamental Culture under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a ceremony on March 31 in Hanoi to launch a poster design contest to mark the 75th anniversary of the Wounded Soldiers’ and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022).
The contest aims to help the whole Party, people, and military learn more about the historical, political, and social significance and humanitarian values of the Wounded Soldiers’ and Martyrs’ Day.

The event is also to widely popularize the “When drinking water, remember its source” tradition of the Vietnamese people; demonstrate the gratitude of the Party, people, and military to martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers, and national contributors; honor and affirm their invaluable contribution and sacrifices to the revolution.
Through the contest, the organizing panel expects to contribute to promoting the care for and the implementation of policies for those who had rendered good service to the nation; honor wounded and sick soldiers, fallen troops’ families, and national contributors who have overcome all difficulties and hardships to contribute to the patriotism emulation movement; popularize exemplary people in conducting gratitude activities.
The contest is eligible to all Vietnamese citizens living in Vietnam and abroad. Entries must be newly designed, should be 54x79cm in size, and must have never been submitted to other contests or made public in any forms.
Entries should be sent to the Advertising Management and Dissemination Office of the Department of Fundamental Culture at No.86A, Le Van Huu alley 3, Pham Dinh Ho ward, Hai Ba Trung district, Hanoi before May 6.
The organizers will present one first, two second, three, and ten consolation prizes to outstanding works.
