The Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Hanoi has been recognised as the Vietnam Record for the unique festival with most human and community-based values, events and activities.
The 2019 Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival takes place from March 29 to April 2.
The Vietnam Record Association and the Vietnam Records Organisation (VietKings) granted a record certificate to the Advanced International JSC (AIC), the festival’s organiser, in Hanoi, on April 23.
The Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival is an annual event aiming to promote cultural exchange, investment and tourism between Vietnam and Japan, towards enhancing the friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
After four years of successful organisation, the festival has offered an opportunity for Hanoians and visitors to admire thousands of fresh and beautiful cherry blossom trees and branches from Japan.
Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry,Vu Tien Loc, said that the festival was not only a cultural event but also an opportunity for trade and investment exchange activities. Many contracts as well as cooperation projects and programmes between the two countries were signed at the festival.
The 2019 Cherry Blossom Festival was held in Hanoi from March 29 to April 2, attracting over one million domestic and foreign visitors.
Various attractive activities were held on the occasion, including ceremonies to present and plant cherry blossom trees inVietnamese localities, the introduction of Japanese and Vietnamese traditional cuisine, performances of traditional art forms of the two countries, and conferences to promote tourism investment.
