An outdoor exhibition opened in the seaside city of Honfleur in France on April 9, displaying photos of the Vietnamese landscape and people by French photographer Réhahn.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Honfleur Mayor Michel Lamarre said that the exhibition is a meaningful activity to celebrate the 50 years of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and France.
It is also an inspiring event for the people and tourists in Honfleur, helping them to better understand the country, people, and time-honoured culture of Vietnam, he added.

He emphasised that Honfleur City always wants to further promote friendship and cooperation with other localities in Vietnam, including Hoi An City.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang highly appreciated photographer Réhahn's affection for Vietnam, which can be seen through his photography projects in Vietnam.
“Réhahn is an excellent photographer who has taken many famous pictures not only in Vietnam, but also around the world,” the diplomat applauded.
Notably, ‘Hidden Smile’, Réhahn’s portrait of 70-year-old boat rower Bui Thi Xong, was chosen as a gift from Vietnamese Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to French President Emmanuel Macron on the occasion of the former’s visit to France in 2018.
