The General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by Senior General Trinh Van Quyet, a member of the Party Central Committee and the Permanent Member of the Central Military Commission, visited and provided gifts to the local residents in Dinh Hoa District in Thai Nguyen last week.
This activity marks the upcoming 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army, the 35th anniversary of the National Defense Day, and the 80th anniversary of the General Department of Politics’ founding (December 22, 1944 - December 22, 2024).
At the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House, Senior General Trinh Van Quyet and his delegation offered incense and expressed gratitude for the immense contributions of President Ho Chi Minh. During his visit, General Quyet signed the guestbook at the memorial, emphasizing the importance of the campaign “Promoting Tradition, Devoting Talent, and Deserving to be Uncle Ho’s Soldiers in the New Era,” and committed to strengthening the Department to effectively carry out its duties and achieve new successes. The delegation also paid respects at the memorial site of General Nguyen Chi Thanh, former head of the General Department of Politics, and honored the heroes and martyrs who fought against French colonialism at the Nam Cua tunnel relic site in Dinh Bien Commune, Dinh Hoa District.
Senior General Trinh Van Quyet inaugurated and handed over the management o the new administrative building and functional rooms at the Dinh Bien Preschool, a project funded by the Political General Department with a total investment of VND4.5 billion (US$). During the visit, General Quyet and other leaders of the department also visited and presented gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and those facing difficulties in Dinh Bien Commune and Dinh Hoa District.
