The Vietnam Military History Museum is showcasing 200 artworks for the first time, created by 193 artists and sculptors, focusing on the theme of armed forces and revolutionary warfare.
The national art exhibition opens to the public from November 15 onward and is located on the second floor of the museum’s main building.

At the opening ceremony last week, Colonel Le Vu Huy, the museum's director, stated, “In response to directives from the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Political General Department, the Vietnam Military History Museum has actively renewed its approach over the years. We have organized numerous artistic creation activities to engage a wide range of participants from both within and outside the military.”
The initiative has yielded 644 artworks from 407 contributors across various provinces and cities in the country.
“The diverse pieces, ranging from sculpture and graphic art to painting, create a vibrant picture that helps the public better understand the lives of soldiers during combat, daily life, study, and work throughout different historical periods. These works reflect the strong bond between the military and civilians, showcasing the noble qualities of Ho Chi Minh's soldiers through the eyes of artists,” Colonel Huy remarked.
The exhibition also honors the artists, both military and civilian, who enthusiastically participated in the artistic creation initiative focused on the theme of “Armed Forces and Revolutionary Warfare” (2019-2024).
This effort aims to promote education and awareness among military personnel and the public, particularly the younger generation, to uphold revolutionary traditions, foster patriotism, and reinforce the commitment to safeguarding Vietnam in the new context.
