The professional art festival on whole people’s defense 2023 was wrapped up after 12 days with many awards presented to best performances, leaving deep impressions on both the art world and audiences.

Themed “Forever resounding the marching song,” the festival drew the participation of more than 1,500 artists, actors, and musicians. They performed 15 dancing and singing programs and six plays in praise of the glorious traditions of the nation, the noble images of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, and the people’s public security troops who are always loyal to the nation, the Party and the people and stay ready to sacrifice their lives to defend the Fatherland and serve the people.
During the festival, art troupes performed for and exchanged with troops and people in Hanoi capital city, creating driving force for the armed forces to strive to complete all assignments, and encouraging artists to promote their talents to honor national cultural values and brighten the images of the Vietnam People’s Army.

Major General Le Xuan Sang, Deputy Director of the Department of Political Education and Information under the General Department of Political Affairs (GDP) and head of the organizing panel of the festival, spoke highly of the success of the event, saying that it confirmed the talent of artists in and outside the military. He added that each performance touched the heart of each audience. The festival will help local people learn more about and be more proud of Vietnamese troops and later they will join hands with the military to build and safeguard the Fatherland.
Addressing the closing ceremony, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Deputy Director of the GDP and head of the steering board of the festival, highly praised the professionalism of participating art troupes, the renovation, breakthroughs, and closeness-in-reality in performances, and the constant creativity and art passion of soldier-artists.
The organizers presented eight gold and nine silver medals for best programs and plays and dozens of gold and silver medals for other outstanding art acts. The GDP also presented merit certificates to best art acts of different topics.
Attentively, 12 individuals received certificates in recognition of their talents in art and music direction, composition, choreography, among others.
