‘Cho Toi Xin Mot Ve Di Tuoi Tho’ (Give me a ticket back to childhood), a novel by Vietnamese writer Nguyen Nhat Anh, has recently been published in Japanese.

Nguyen Nhat Anh’s long story entitled ‘Di Qua Hoa Cuc’ (Going through daisy season) was also introduced to Japanese readers in the novel on the occasion.
The release of the novel, which is the outcome of joint efforts between Vietnam’s Tre (Youth) Publishing House, Japan’s Nikkei Publishing House and The Daido Life Foundation, aims to boost mutual understanding between Japan and Vietnam.
The 365-page publication was translated by Hiromi Ito and Sakae Kato.
In the novel’s introduction, The Daido Life Foundation have stated that Nguyen Nhat Anh is one of the best-selling authors in Vietnam. His novel ‘Cho Toi Xin Mot Ve Di Tuoi Tho’ won the 2010 ASEAN Literature Award while ‘Di Qua Hoa Cuc’ has gained recognition as a charming story for teenagers.
Since it was first released on February 1, 2018, ‘Give me a ticket back to childhood’ has been reprinted nearly 70 times with more than 400,000 copies in total, making it the best-selling book of the Youth Publishing House in both 2017 and 2018.
The novel has also been translated into English, Thai, and Korean.
