Through his dance ‘Loop’, Xuan Le wants to focus on a very ambitious theme: the life. “Living in life, sometimes we act as actors, but sometimes the audience instead. Our movements are the way for us to present ourselves in the journey of life,” he stated.
Notably, ‘Loop’ is a harmonious combination of contemporary dance, roller skating, hip-hop dancing and juggling, which generates a unique language of dance created by Xuan Le.
The performance is staged as part of the Hanoi Dance Fest 2019, which is held from June 28 to 30 by the Goethe Institute, the French Cultural Centre in Hanoi L’Espace in cooperation with the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.
The festival will introduce to dance lovers six dance performances by Vietnamese and foreign choreographers. All contemporary dance pieces will showcase the unique features of the diverse culture of each country.
The event aims to create a stage for young and talented choreographers, promoting new ideas and diverse multidisciplinary collaborations between local and international choreographers and artists working in different cultural contexts.
At the same time, it will also provide an opportunity for the Vietnamese audience to explore and discover aesthetic values and impressions of contemporary dance.
