Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To, Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs, called for the National Defence Journal Magazine and Military Literature Magazine to continue innovating and improving the quality of their reporting.
The request was made during Lt. Gen. Truong Thien To’s meeting with the two magazines at the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army on February 18 in Hanoi.
He emphasized the importance of adhering to their missions and objectives without deviating from the correct viewpoints and policies.
He underscored that both magazines, along with other military media outlets, should produce sharp articles and lead efforts to counter erroneous and hostile ideologies in the fields of thought and culture, thereby protecting the ideological foundation of the Party.

He encouraged the magazines to actively fight against the schemes and tactics of “peaceful evolution” and military “depoliticization” by hostile forces.
To also stressed the need to build a team of politically adept staff, reporters, and editors with solid political and military theoretical knowledge, as well as a sharp scientific worldview and methodology, to connect theory with practice closely.
He highlighted the importance of adhering to regulations and building a disciplined, strong Party organization and comprehensive unit strength.

At the meeting, Colonel and writer Nguyen Binh Phuong, Editor-in-Chief of the Military Literature Magazine, reported that the magazine has consistently upheld its mission and objectives while strengthening efforts to counter false narratives and protect the Party's ideological foundation.

The magazine has also promoted the resilience and determination of the military, contributing to highlighting the virtues of Uncle Ho's soldiers in the nation’s construction and defense, and fostering positive values among officials, soldiers, and the public, he said.
