The People's Public Security Theater introduced a musical on President Ho Chi Minh entitled “The Helmsman” on April 12 in Hanoi.
The musical depicts Ho Chi Minh’s life and career, especially his 30-year journey seeking the path to national liberation.

Accordingly, the musical witnesses the participation of nearly 200 artists from the People's Public Security Theater. Colonel Nguyen Thi Thuy Hien, Director of the theater, is the art director while Choreographer Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh is the scriptwriter and also the general director of the musical.
The work is compiled in the form of a choral symphony. It contributes to preserving and promoting the traditional heritage of national musical theater, as well as honoring the national cultural identity through traditional musical instruments and contemporary folk dances.
The musical will be released to the audience in celebration of the 132nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - 2022), and the 40th founding anniversary of the People's Public Security Theater (April 24, 1982 - 2022).
