The 23rd Vietnam Poetry Day, themed “The Homeland Soars,” will take place at 8 PM on February 12, at the Pham Thi Tran Theater, located at 65 Le Dai Hanh Street, Van Giang Ward, Hoa Lu City, Ninh Binh Province.

Information was announced at a press conference on February 6 in Hanoi.
Nguyen Quang Thieu, President of the Vietnam Writers’ Association, said that this year’s event will capture the interest of Hoa Lu residents and attract visitors from across the country during the early days of the Year of the Snake.
The event will feature poets from various generations, including those who fought in the anti-American War, those after the reunification in 1975, and young poets who have emerged since 2001.
Attendees can look forward to readings by renowned poets such as Nguyen Dinh Thi, Nguyen Khoa Diem, Huu Thinh, Le Thu, Tran Dang Khoa, Phan Hoang, and several others who have gained recognition since the Doi Moi (Renovation) period, including Nguyen Bao Chan and Nguyen Tien Thanh, alongside emerging talents like Nguyen Quang Hung and Phung Thi Huong Ly.
On the same day, a poetry seminar titled “The Responsibilities and Aspirations of Poets,” led by Nguyen Binh Phuong, Vice President of the Vietnam Writers’ Association, will be held at 8:30 AM at Hoang Son Hotel, 98 Trinh Tu Street, Ninh Khanh Ward, Hoa Lu City.
